Stardust29 DREAM I, as myself, did not play the main role in the dominant segment of this dream. Rather, I was an observer most of the time, taking a backseat to the journey of someone else. It was a story of someone incredibly alone, surrounded by tormentors and manipulators, stripped of autonomy and mocked. I can't quite remember in what ways. He— I think? Somehow, I feel that it was a he— tried to help others but was unable to help himself. There was something to do with forced obedience through mind control and trigger words, a little mouse and/or some kind of shrunken person, and talking objects on a shelf that had once been people (a la "Beauty and the Beast" I guess). There was also a bar and drinks that were set out in a very particular way, perhaps with each dedicated to a specific person. I think the manipulated man's cup always stayed there, even though he never was, since he was locked away or something of the sort. It felt like some people were starting to notice this, but it remained a mystery.
I believe this was taking place in some kind of hidden world, which you had to climb these strings of turquoise gems to enter. There was a corrupt king or ruler involved, and I think I exposed him or somehow challenged him and succeeded. Some people were upset about this disruption to the order of things, but we found a replacement and organized a ceremony to announce changes for the betterment of the community. A speech was interrupted and restarted, mostly unfazed. There was a disagreement between two officials, and I was looked to for a solution. I can't recall exactly what was said, just the feeling and intent behind it. I asked if they were wanting me to step in and take charge of the situation, but that wasn't necessarily it, they just wanted me to do SOMETHING. And I felt kind of disappointed because for a moment, I'd thought I was being fully trusted to take on a role of leadership. But I still decided to try, and I ended up saying they were both right. I didn't think that was anything groundbreaking enough to actually have a significant effect— but it worked, if not in any sort of dramatic fashion. They immediately relented and agreed.
The rest of this dream was very disjointed, and my memory of it is murky, so my explanation is probably going to be as well.
At one point, there was some sort of secluded path with shelves like a factory, full of unusual things. I'm not sure what, but I remember seeing a lot of yellow. It could've been bananas or something, maybe? I walked this path once happily and later walked it again warily. If something in particular happened to cause this change, I either didn't witness it or don't remember it.
In another part, there were these cute critters, and I wanted to take pictures but had left my camera back at a hotel. When I hurried off to get my things, I found they had been thrown out on the entrance stairs because of some violated protocol. I felt a bit of outrage at this procedure of theirs, considering people's things could easily get stolen like that, and I was lucky mine weren't. I hid some valuable things underneath a hollow object of some kind so they couldn't be seen as I transported them past this tribe-like camp to a strange, magical cave. (Wait, why are there so many magical caves in my dreams?)
There was also something with a boat and a fear of water, someone chasing after someone else, and a train into Japan, I think? The chasing person made an absurd public request on this train in spite of social anxiety, as a show of devotion for the one they chased. And this doesn't really make sense, but there was something to do with the train's route being called the white line? And when we arrived at the destination, there were these white flowers.
Other things I made note of but aren't really connected to anything else:
•I tried to talk to someone among a group of people, but they ran away to avoid me, and I returned to the back of the pack alone.
•I saw some of my cousins, and I was aware within the dream that one of them was younger than I know she actually is irl. She seemed happy to see me, even though I think she's actually kind of in her preteen "I'm too cool" phase currently. I found it all confusing.
•I couldn't think of the word "incontrovertible," and instead, I said, "incorrigible" for some reason. This is super random, but it's rare that I remember exact dialogue from my dreams, so it always stands out to me when I do.
•My grandpa stayed past his welcome, and everyone was frustrated.
•Once again, my voice was weak, and I was reduced to whining.
•I was trying to protect myself from strange, probing objects that were being shoved right up in my face.
•There was a room that was small yet full of singing and dancing.
