Forest Water Altar, Encounter with the Anima

I set out on a kayak trip with a bunch of my friends onto the ocean, onto this beautiful forested coastline.

The weather was perfect and we were surging ahead. I was leading the pack of friends kayaking and we explored the different contours of the coastline.

I had heard there's an extraordinarily beautiful stream and altar here which we need to find and I could see it coming. There was this beautiful creek that was pouring into the ocean and the entrance was the most magical thing possible, with towering trees like pillars, a beautiful canopy that created a sense of a roof like a cathedral inside, and the roots themselves were reaching right into the creek which was calm and serene and steadily flowing.

The colors were warm and brown and green and the water was sparkling. I excitedly started paddling up the creek appreciating the beautiful atmosphere.

I kept going in awe. I knew there was a destination at the end of this. Eventually we reached it, after less time than expected, there was a gorgeous altar with the waterfall and a big slab of rock and the water running over the rock. It was a large rectangular beautiful piece of rock that had the water flowing over it. The whole forest altar was created to worship this spring coming out of the earth over this rock and flowing and forming this most beautiful creek.

I jumped out of my kayak and went up to the water altar and just stared at the details of its beauty for several minutes, the moss growing on the side of it, the blue clarity of the water was so pure I wanted to drink it. But I sensed that it was forbidden to drink from it that closely. I stared at the crystalline flowing waters, went into the sixth static trance and dissolved into another world.

In that other world there were a bunch of kids who are hungry and I was also a bit hungry. I was following them up to where they had an oven. They opened the oven and they showed me all these yummy food that was bread and vegetables and meats and it was all very oily and very nourishing and created with love but they were very poor yet they had this nourishment and were proud of it and I could see it was made with so much love. And there was a piece of dark dense nourishing bread that was sizzling. There was all this sizzling in the oven. The oven was like on low, just keeping this food sizzling and I took the block of bread and I pulled it in half and I showed the kid, can I have half of this bread?

And the kid said "no, that we need to feed five of us," so I asked him to break off a piece of bread that was an appropriate size for me. He grabbed and quickly broke off a chunk that was the size of a handful and he gave it to me and it looked down to nourishing. I thanked him for it and he gave me some other things on my plate and I sat down and ate them sitting at a small table in the corner. The food was very nourishing and yummy.

Some other things happen that I forget and then I was transported back out of this scene and back to the forest altar which had now become no longer a waterfall. It was this shrine in the middle of the forest and my friend Cody was there who had built a tarp over it to keep it dry but it was raining and wet and the trail was a bit muddy and Cody said, "Oh man, the weather changes everything 100% today. It's too wet, it's hard to contain the water."

I told him he's doing a great job and we should just go get some food and then we'll come back here and everything will be fine. He seemed to chill out and started following me down the trail.

He said he'll catch up with me later, then he veered off to the right and I told him we woult meet again soon. I go down the trail and I'm going back and we're no longer on that creek by the ocean. It's now this kind of muddy trail that I descend down quickly and easily in my glide down it and I get to this little town that's like a highway town with a gas station and there's this house that looks like an old person's boring house at the bottom across the highway from the gas station.

I go into the house and there's all these items stacked everywhere and organized and relatively clean. All these antiques and like old furniture and the house's stacked and there's no lights on inside and so I stand up on one of the benches and go up and I can't find anything to eat in there and everything smells a little bit not fresh.

I thought it might have been a restaurant, but then I realized there is no yummy food inside this house, so I walk out of the house and go back outside and I remember, oh we got to get back to these ocean adventures.

So I run back to the ocean and a bunch of other things happen which I forget.

I come upon this beautiful architecture that looks like it was an educational institution or a clubhouse or seemed like a really cool and interesting place of higher learning. I will take a detour from my ocean adventure to look at this amazing building that seemed to morph to the contours of my eyes like nothing I had seem before. It was kind of white and elegant and noble yet minimalist. The architecture is very creative and grounded and I went inside where there were two or three students with backpacks and holding books that were ascending up a staircase.

But there weren't many people in there and it seemed inviting so I went up and up to the top floor of several flights of stairs and there was only one person on the top floor.

The floor had plush carpet, everything was pristine. The walls were pristine. The white altarpieces. Half like a temple, half like a lounge, half like a living room. It's like this place had just been built and not been inhabited yet, and it felt like it was being offered for me.

And I went around and there was this. I felt good inside of this. It felt solid, like a lot of future good memories could happen in here. And there was this area which was like a lounge with the fireplace, and then there was this table. I was like, a grand table, some kind of table for a council where important decisions would be made, and there's a mantle next to it.

And then I looked up and there was this woman sitting there at the head of the table who was so familiar and so beautiful to me that I went up to her and looked at her deep in the eyes and we had a kinship. Her name was Anima. She was a female and better looking version of myself. My mirror reflection. Yet she was everything I Was not in a way that created a serene magnetism.

I kissed her on her right cheek and came close to her and I asked her if she wanted to be together forever.

She told me that we should share our ages first. She didn't look any older than 30 years old, she asked me what my age is, I told her my age is 43. She paused and looked deeply and I could tell she was apprehensive about what she was going to say next, I could tell she wanted to be with me forever too, it was my Anima. Then she solemnly told me that she's 60 years old. She asked me if I still want to be with her.

I paused and looked at her again and she looked half that age and I thought what is this what will happen when we get older, will she suddenly age and be many years older than me? What will become of us, will she die early and I'll be by myself for a long time and heartbroken?

These questions vexed me for long enough for the moment to wear off as I understood her apprehension about our age discrepancy.

The complexity in her eyes was terrifyingly seductive. I had to look away as I was melting into her. My eyes leapt away from her, up to the white wall behind her that turned into the dark stormy ocean. I walked over sat near the ocean and looked at the waves coming in and contemplated it and started to go into a dreamy trance and I realized this whole time I was trying to get back to the ocean.

This whole time I was trying to get back to the ocean! And in that moment of remembrance, that stormy dark ocean got brighter and this time instead of using a kayak I just dove right into the water and I was swimming in a way, I felt like a dolphin at times jumping in and out along the surface and diving under for short bursts that seemed to propel me forward. I found some other people out there that were surfing and having a good time and we enjoyed the pristine fresh ocean water.

Then there's this shark that was under the surface and it was kind of dumb and it didn't bite or do anything but it had weird teeth and I would feel it before I could see it. This shark would kind of bump into me and I looked down and I was like oh there's a shark and at first I was a little bit afraid that it would bite me. Then it looked kind of dead like a robot or something, just going in a loop so I threw it off me.

It went in a loop and came back and I threw it off and I told my friends who I was swimming with, they said hey watch over the shark, it's going in a loop bumping into us, so it doesn't seem dangerous but it's annoying.

And they took note of that and I, we got rid of the shark and it went to this other guy and he's like well, and he pushed it away and then we ditched the shark, zoomed off swimming like water creatures deep into the ocean.

And then I woke up.
