🐉👹 Trojan Horse of Niflheim

An extraordinarily elegant and well spoken African man escapes from a prison inside the pillar near the top of the Golden Gate bridge.

So polite he is that and I wonder why they’re keeping him locked up, so I venture up to see where it is that they are keeping him.

I go inside to find a small space, constrained with towels and blankets unfolded like a box, only to find this small space opens wide into a bigger space that is a wood house suspended in the upper support beams of the Golden Gate bridge.

Strange characters make appearances, and it’s unclear who owns the space.

Right then, Avasarala and a team of space-time hackers suddenly hack themselves into the room via hyperspace, coming in, tactically clearing the room.

The crew of spiritual samurai are happy to see me and it’s clear that they know more about what’s happening than I do. The crew sports folding swords and all manner of advanced energy signature reading devices. Detecting the surrounding energy field they collect data streams flowing in from hyperspace.

They signal they are preparing for an incoming attack vectoring in from an unknown sector of The Deep, furiously reading energy graphs and dialing knobs on their crystalline tools.

💥 BOOM it hits sooner than expected.

This fucking crazy black storm of swirling angles crashes through the walls. Hard to see it is, distorting my vision with strange angles when looking directly at it.

Ever on the periphery it swims, The Devourer, through the room in a distortion field of angles, and scanning its new environment for prey.

The crew maintains eye contact, signaling to me to be perfectly still as it can’t see me unless I am moving. I remain still and observe how it swims through the room, smelling us with its soul. I feel the skin on my arm tingle, the hairs stand on their end as the Devourer’s distortion field moves among us.

One Red Tiger makes a move out the window and the beast flees fast behind him. Off the Devourer is drawn outside, high they orbit trajectories, near in the bright blue and misty skies above the bridge they ascend in a spiral dance of two warriors moving in on eachother for the kill.

One Tiger at a time moves while all others stand still, taking turns battling the beast in the broad daylight sky. By how they handle the beast in angles, it’s clear they have had many encounters with this one before.

I notice the Devourer distorts radio communication, and our comms have gone offline.

As our allies battle in the skies, Avasurella taps me quick, “come hide in this dark room and we’ll sneak attack.”

She assures that I don’t need to do anything and it’s best to leave it to the professionals to handle the beast.

Avasurrela and I hide in a dark bedroom under the sheets of the veil. I get very close to her under the sheets, gently holding Avasurrela, an old flame she is. Secretly she savors the moment, with a silent warm smile.

Swiftly incoming, the Devourer returns, flickering on the periphery as it swims tearing through the space-time. “Lay low and pretend you’re sleeping.” she whispers, “Behind the veil of this Sheet the devourer won’t smell your soul.”

Off into the next room Avasurrela enters the fight raging fast as the White Tigers, a crew of tactical wizards, strike the Devourer one by one in coordinated battle formations. I watch on from behind the veil of the Sheet as the Devourer attempts to possess their minds and thrash their souls.

Restless under the veil, my spirit grips tight, feeling helpless. I follow the urge to step into the battle and join my friends in the fight.

Standing up in the darkness I unfurl unseen wings. Taking to my mantle and bringing forth my fire, I dance through swift curves toward the Devourer.

Storming the room where the battle rages, I divide the space with speed drawing off the Devourer with the Dance of the Dragon.

Dance I ecstatically through the battle, dance I as a dragon before the beast and without a plan.

The Devourer draws in on me with a smile, revealing it’s face to my vision. Strange and tormented is the beast of dark angles, born from below yet invoked by man.

It smiles at me, as a hungry man would smile at a feast – a smile that is clever and sinister, orbiting around me in strange flowing angles as it prepares to devour my soul.

Strike it does, the Devourer, as a predator it’s prey, with such speed that time stands still in it’s wake.

Knew I this in the dreamtime: no stranger am I to the time travel, no stranger am I to the fight. I studied for long lives with the masters of wisdom and dwelling amongst them learned the Ways of Shen.

Calling upon my Shen, I spread deep into the flow that guides from beyond time, closing in on the dark beast.

⚡ Shooting in an instant, as a strike of lightning, my legs seize upon the axis of the beast.

Wrapping around the neck of it, my legs twist, gripping tight and tighter still the neck of the devourer.

Gathering all of its energy the beast shakes its body as a whip throwing me off, sending me tumbling down through the air. Intense physical sensations wash through the organs of my body as I intersect with the beast in many more dimensions than I know of.

I feel it has a heart to be felt and I know this beast to have a soul.

Striking a second time, the Devourer lunges fast with fire. Colliding with the Force of the Flame we implode completely into a singularity, void far flung into the demon’s night.

Sucked into the black hole of a devourer and then… Silence.

I am gone beyond.

I feel my friends mourning my loss and feel them think they may never see me again. Yet start they now to scan for me in the shadows, probing with their tools of magic science deep into the dreamtime.

Brave I fall, full send into the night, tumbling into the forests of Niflheim

Brave I, with nothing to lose and all to gain by visiting the realm of the dark dweller.

Fading up from black, I wake up in a hole in the forest floor, alone and none to be seen. Grunts emerge from nearby light, I crouch low, watching a giant Nephilim holding and eating the carcass of a horse by its campfire.

A Nephilim in the forest of the night.

It smells me with it’s soul, looking past and through me, sending chaotic noises beyond my senses.

Trying to intimidate me with it’s darkness, a dark black as I’ve ever known, the sharpness of soul, and the foulest of stench but known to hell.

Looking through me the Devourer taunts.

I make a crazy funny face at it.
Resounding a jolly laugh.
Love I show it by my vibration.

Disturbed by my lack of submission, the Nephilim is caught off guard, far off guard by my fancy flight in it’s face.

The beast rumbles, unhappy, mad!

Attacking I fast and mad, the Nephilim lunges, throwing it’s body off balance.

Seeing the crack in it’s soul, I stand up straight to the beast, looking deep through centered eyes. The beast to I without fear is powerless. In this world I have conquered The Deep.

Work I with the light magic in these ethers, know I the Nephilim’s body cannot touch mine.

🌬️ WHOOSH

A shockwave blows fast through the forest canopy, the wind pulls the beast away in distraction, energy washes through the forest born from a power greater than mine.

Livestock breaks loose from the cave of the Nephilim, breaking loose out from the darkness, animals run fast into the forest.

The Beast runs in panic to secure his livestock, fast to return them to the bondage of his dark cave.

Then moved I through the forest, slow upon the campfire the beast left burning in the night.

Swiftly I disassemble the shanty shelter held by loops, pulling it apart piece by piece, the dwelling place of the beast. Tearing apart the raw logs, dispersing the wood collection upon the fire pit and burning it slow in the heat of the flame.

I look and wait and watch, nowhere to be seen is the Devourer. Off collecting the animals are they.

Move I fast to collect all of its items, move I fast to start burning them in the heat of the abandoned flame.

I feel relieved that the Nephilim has not noticed my activities yet, relieved that the beast remains far away.

I close my eyes and sense my Allies in the physical world. They are watching me throughout an unknown medium, guiding me home to victory. Helping me in the wind and the shadows to make way for my return to their realms.

Realized I then, it is They who created the shockwave that drew the animals from the shelter. They then, my Allies, were watching and showing me the way all along. Showing me the way back home through the night.

I continue collecting the wood, carrying them to the fire. Wood collection of the Nephilim, throwing and burning them on the small fire that gains momentum as I fan the flames with my wind power.

Blow I hard upon the fire, blow I fast and burn hot oh flame.

There I hear the Devourer, back behind a rock bank thrashing in toil. Hear I it’s struggle to contain the animals that are it’s only source of sustenance. In battle over hunger, the beast struggles deep in it’s night.

Unsure of what I will do when the Nephilim returns, I contemplate my next move, while lording over its bonfire, shining bright in the night.

Whatever I do, however I go, continuing to burn this wood in the light of the fire will get me back to where I belong.

BEEP BEEP BEEP
And then my alarm goes off.
