πŸŒŠβ›΅ SALTS Dream

April 23rd, 2023

On the SALTS ship, the Pacific Swift, a 110 foot wooden gaff rig schooner hailing from Victoria, BC.

Everyone cracks open a beer,
because She’s there, along with some unknown people that I’m sitting next to.

I drink the beer, drift slowly and fall asleep, witness hazy sparkles, wake up, and it’s like pitch black but also a blue sky at the same time. I look closely and sample the sky color in Photoshop and confirm that its pure black under a storm cloud on the horizon, yet above is gorgeous blue sky and massive billowing thunderheads.

Baffled by this, I decide to swim.

The water is a striking blend of crystal blue and aquamarine.

Gazing below, I spot Kashi and my father leisurely swimming. Sliding off the sail, I make a stylish plunge into the blue green waters, greeting them cheerfully.

After a brief swim, my father returns to the boat.

The dream goes on and on…

At one point, I get off the boat and there are these entire buildings floating on the water,

Full of hippies living in them.

I have a lucid moment, “Holy shit, this is wild.” I feel very independent and on an adventure, fully lucid.

Then the SALTS boat leaves without me while I’m engaged in a deep philosophical conversation with some hippies, and I’m on my own. I realize I need to find it again.

I go on a series of adventures through all the different boats that are attached on wharfs. All the boats are attached to each other. I jump from one boat to the next.

There’s a long sequence where I get help from different people and not from others. It feels like everyone’s got their own little world floating on the water.

I’m somewhat intruding, but they kind of know what I’m doing.

Long sequence of jumping between different boats and sneaking onto different boats. There’s a whole world of boat people living on boats that are quite nice, quite large, floating on the water.

Eventually, I get on a motorboat, and we’re following this mini BC Ferry that it’s going very fast.

And the guy does a flip with the motor boat by bouncing it off the wall of one of the floating structures, and I’m like, “Fuck yeah, that was awesome.”

And then we keep going, and eventually see the SALTS boat. It’s gotten a lot bigger, it’s higher, and I’m proud of it. It has a different structure.

Eventually, I manage to get back on the boat, and they’ve changed it. Kashi tells me they used their collective dream willpower to shift the design of the boat based on all the other boats they observed.

Now it’s got a lot more deck space, more comfortable, more cozy, with coffee shops, food stands and ambient lighting.

But I still kind of like the other boat design better, even though it was more rustic.

    1. It was unknown who “she” was, it was a friend of some of the people in the circle. I was just happy to get a free beer and join in the celebration. 😸
